I recently moved to the southern United States, and I am in the midst of a severe culture shock, right now. ! It occured to me every time I switch languages, I also change my personality a little bit, change my voice, I think my mind actually works in a different way in English.
I love the accuracy of a word, the rhythm of a well-balanced sentence. And speaking English all day really shines a light on how much the words I use affect who I am. As I play with words all the time, they've been piling up in my head for some time now, and they keep jumping up and down in there, until they get a way out.
So I started working around and with the words in a crazy attempt to write in English about French.
This blog is intended for english speakers who like the sound of a french word, no matter whether they do speak french or not, for French speakers who like English and juggling with words, for anyone who likes to think about words, language and translation.
I love to read out loud, and I thought adding an audio part would be fun, as no language is true unless it's alive.
